Privacy Policy

When you participate in a poll, we collect the following information:

• Your name, email address, phone number (optional), and ZIP code
• Political opinions expressed through your poll responses — including your candidate preference, party affiliation, ideological self-identification, and top policy issue
• Your mailing address, if you choose to provide it in the optional enrichment step

We also collect basic technical metadata such as the time of your submission and the page you voted from. We do not collect device fingerprints or persistent tracking identifiers beyond an anonymous session token used to prevent duplicate votes.

We use the information you provide to:

• Display aggregate, anonymized poll results to the public — individual responses are never shown publicly
• Connect you with candidates or campaigns you explicitly choose to support through the optional supporter action step
• Improve the platform, understand how voters engage with races, and develop new features

We use an internal voter relationship management system to manage contact records and facilitate follow-up for supporters who opt in.

Your contact information is used to follow up through our supporter outreach tools only if you explicitly opt in by selecting a supporter action (volunteer, donate, or receive updates) during the poll flow. If you skip that step, your contact information is not used for outreach.

We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or unaffiliated third parties.

Poll responses are retained indefinitely so that historical data remains available for analysis and platform improvement. If you would like your data removed, see the deletion request section below.

To request that your data be deleted, email us at privacy@americanelectionhq.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Include the email address you used when submitting a poll. We will process your request within 30 days.
